The Maranatha Academy golf team placed eighth out of 10 teams at the Class 2A regional tournament on Monday at Spring Creek Golf Course in Seneca.
Despite not qualifying as a team, the Eagles will be represented at state.
Sophomore Ryan Bouvier fired a 93 and qualified individually for state, which will take place on Wednesday, May 27, at Salina Municipal Golf Course. The top three teams and the top 10 individual placers qualify for state. In addition, the top five individuals from non-qualifying teams advance to state. Bouvier had the third-best score out of those five.
