We will be getting together to touch base with the new volunteers and get them some new training.

If you are a current volunteer we would love to have a few of you stop by to help out with some training and be a familiar face to our family.

Just wanted to get an update out there.

UPDATE – - surgery is DONE!!!!!!!!!! the doctor feels it went well. he is in recovery now. pray there isn’t a ton of pain for him.

Jennifer metioned there is some swelling and some pain associated with the surgery.  So hopefully recovery will go smoothly.

This is an update on Nathan, Jennifer Merriner’s brother.

Most of you know Jennifer, she is on the Production Team and runs sound.

Nathan was taken to the hospital Saturday before last,  after suffering some seizures. Doctors are crediting this to a tumor that was caused from a disorder that Nathan had since birth called Neurofibromatosis (or NF).

Update:

Mom spoke with one of the doctors around 3pm. And he also followed up with a call to dad.

The surgery has been scheduled for 7:30 tomorrow morning (wednesday).  The doctor is indicating a 4 to 6 hour procedure (much shorter than originally thought).  They will go in from the back of the neck and remove portions of the spine to access the growth and attempt to remove it all, but it is possible this will take a second surgery.  Then they will stabilize the spine with screws and metal rods.
